The fabric of choice, FLEX SHIELD WAFFLE DWR, fulfilled the design brief perfectly. This 2 layer laminate is stretchy, water repellent and almost totally windproof. The warming microfleece reverse side really comes into its own on cool early mornings or on the high trails. To complement the figure-hugging cut, the sleeves of the jacket have a narrower, conforming fit and incorporate dual stretch FLEX SHIELD DWR inserts. This gives a snug fit at the wrists and prevents the sleeves riding up during more acrobatic movements.
