The new INFIDELS ICE JACKET is the flagship jacket in the JACK WOLFSKIN hiking range. No other 3-in-1 hiking jacket is lighter (1020 g) than this baby! And none comes with such a purist yet high performance spec, with a fabric that is designed to work every bit as hard as you do! This is the first time JACK WOLFSKIN has used the waterproof, air permeable weather protection fabric, TEXAPORE AIR O3+ in a 3-in-1 system jacket. The special membrane construction allows permanent air exchange (convection) to occur through the fabric. This makes the jacket “dynamically breathable”; in other words, the MVTR (breathability) increases the more active you are. When the hiking gets steep, fast and strenuous, you’ll appreciate the difference this remarkable new fabric makes. So how can a jacket this good be so light? Well, it’s partly down to the fabrics used. Both the 3 layer weather protective laminate and the mesh backed highloft fleece of the inner jacket have very low intrinsic weights.

Then there is the detailing: stripped down to the minimum required and designed for weight optimization (e.g. the zippers are water resistant, which dispenses with the need for additional covering flaps).
